Global company's website telling the story behind the story
This site is to become an “arms length” channel, separate from the company’s corporate site, which is designed to tell the story behind the story; an interactive medium to enable the audience to get information without the filter of usual media channels. It will create a sense of friendly responsiveness by using a less formal tone of communication and showing the personal side of the company.
-
Q: It would help immensely if we knew what kind of company this was for.
A: I realise that more info would be helpful, but this is confidential information and would compromise the initiative. All I can say is that this is one of the world's largest corporations. Think in terms of communication, not sector.
-
Q: Are you planning on using forums, a blog, email, chat, a social-networking site like Facebook.com...? What will be included?
A: There will at least be a blog with the opportunity to post video. No social networking. Comment facility most likely. No forums. Ability to take content away and share. Content on 3rd part sites perhaps
-
Q: Do you need a .com? Is this site a completely independent title or will it combine with the corporate name?
A: URL is not a relevant question at the moment. Just looking for inspirational good names. So don't worry about URL or .com
-
Q: are there any words you want to AVOID using?
A: Obviously we can't use foul language, or any suggestive terms, but beyond that I wouldn't limit the use of words
-
Q: are you seeking a one word name?
A: Not necessarily. It could be a short but good sentence, two words, three words.
-
Q: are you seeking a plain english name or an abstract name?
A: I would lean towards natural language, but not foreign to a good abstract name either
-
Q: do you require an available url such as a .com? if so, how much are you willing to spend on a domain?
A: see answer above. Not willing to spend money on url at this stage.
-
Q: Can we at least know what line of industry the company serves?
A: For now we would like to keep that a secret. The name needs to embody the act of communicating well irrespective of industry
