Elevator Pitches is a community video project by TechCrunch that allows entrepreneurs to pitch their startups to the general public. Visitors then have a chance to comment and vote on the pitches they like the most or least…….. Should we stick with “Elevator Pitches” or replace it with another name .. possibly including either “Tech”, Or “Crunch”?

1. The name needs to be about pitching; hence pitch is included in the name. 2. The word "Fire" speaks to the high-pressure/high intensity nature of pitching and the possibility that if your pitch is successful, it could set the world on fire. Also, it speaks to the idea that a good pitch spreads like wildfire or alternately; if your pitch is bad you get burned. Lastly it conjures the idea of innovation, which is central to the whole philosophy behind TechCrunch because something that is said to be innovative can be referred to as “hot”.

Maybe there is an opportunity to put it in restrooms. You would not want to have to have a different name for the same process. The people doing the ratings would be "evaluators" -- a noun. It can also be a verb as in please evaluvate this product.
