Naming a new Bank Network

A number of independent community banks are coming together, to create a network of locations that give their customers greater access to ATMs/branches locally and throughout the U.S. The individual banks will keep their current names and continue to run as they have been in order to better service their communities; the only change is that back-office/operational stuff will give customers more product options and greater access.

Additionally, each bank that is part of this collective will adhere to a set of principles that takes a different look at banking. Mainly, this network will take a more “HUMAN” approach to servicing its customers and their needs, and cut through the “clinical” way of business that dogs many national chains out there. In fact, within the walls of the organization they talk about themselves as “The Human Bank Network”.

Examples of how the “human” promise comes to life:

- They’re pet friendly. All pets welcome. Free dog bones in branches. Petcare savings accounts. Strong support of a local no-kill shelter. Often run promotions that have free pet beds/leashes/benes. etc. with checking accounts.

- They’re eco-friendly. They are re-tooling their branches and operations to generate less waste, and have a smaller carbon footprint. Additionally, they offer special loan rates to individuals and businesses who apply the funds to energy efficient building renovations.

- They’re personal. Staff has a very low turnover rate; most employees have been working in the branches for years. So they will know your name and you will never feel like a number.

- They’re accessible. No voicemail prompts, here. Call the branch during business hours, get a live voice to help you. Quickly. Period.

- They’re welcoming. Its own blend of fair trade coffee is on tap at all branches. If you want or need to come in to tend to your financials, grab a free cup of joe in the process.

- They’re redefining “online” service. Want a dialogue with a representative, but only bank online? No problem. With live chat, a representative is always there to answer questions about your account or their products.

These are only a few examples.

The net result— this bank network will have a branch presence that rivals many national banks…while embracing a manifesto that is human, personal, and one-on-one.
