We’re working on a webapp to help college students stay in touch with groups of friends by exchanging messages and status updates.


The name needs to be a unique brand, so simple phrases like “What’s Up?” are no good. It needs to appeal to both college girls and guys, so can’t be too macho or girly. We don’t want it to have an overused descriptive term like “Campus” or “College” in the title. We also prefer one-word names. Made-up words are okay as long as they somehow convey the application’s purpose.


We prefer names with an available dot-com domain name.


Finally, extra points for names that make simple noun and verb derivatives (for example, blabber is related to the noun “blab” and the verb "blab"). This isn’t necessary but would be nice.
